Edgewater Unit #600 Guest Reviews

As the owner of Edgewater 600, I just wanted to address any of the issues that may have been listed concerning our property. As of this year the master bedroom and living room both have brand new flat panel t.v.'s 27" and 32" respectively. There is a fan in the back bedroom and has always had plenty of lighting. The carpet throughtout the whole condo was replaced in November 2009. The Master bedroom has been completely redecorated in November also.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in edgewater beach 600. It was beautifully decorated and had an awesome view of the grounds and beach. It would be perfect for a family of four!

We enjoyed our first Destin experience very much and the location of Edgewater can't be beat in terms of accessability to shopping and dining as well as beach and heated pool. The condo unit was cozily furnished and quite nicely appointed, although a bit smaller than I expected. The back bedroom was small and dark due to an inside corridor window and lack of adequate lighting, but nicely furnished and certainly fine for children with 2 twin beds. Lots of patio furniture on the balcony, comfy furnishings inside, and a great view! I would recommend the carpet be replaced and/or cleaned, but otherwise we enjoyed it very much.

The condo is in very good condition. The appliances and kitchen are all like new. Our kids enjoyed having putting green, shuffleboard, basketball goal, heated pool and hot tub all on site. The property is located right on a beautiful beach. The balcony is wonderful and has great views of the ocean. Only a small starter supply of soap and toilet paper were provided, so bring your own soap, shampoo, toilet paper, tissues, etc. Also, the unit has a full size washer/dryer so bring detergent and fabric softner type items.

We found the Edgewater Condo through Trip Advisor on the internet. They were rated #2 in Destin! We chose this particular unit for the price and photos we found on the Sandcastle Escapes website. The unit is on the 6th floor, first one as you leave the far East elevator. The decorations were very nice and you could tell they recently updated the appliances (really neat faucet on the kitchen sink). The view is perfect...you can see the full ocean, beach and pool. The balcony was huge with a table that seats 6 outside. Two concerns I had...the carpet was in very poor condition. There were many stains on it. Also, the couple that stayed in the bedroom with the twin beds could hear the elevator when it moved through the walls.

We enjoyed our stay at Edgewater #600 very much. Our condo was beautifully decorated. There was a lack of clarity in the instructions that had been e-mailed to us about the check-in/check-out procedure and about how to get in the front gates, but no big deal. The only drawbacks to our room were the fact that it was quite a walk to actually get to the beach and that it was right by the trash chute. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to rent a unit on down the hall. The nice thing was that this unit is right next to the elevator, so it may be worth it to you to hear some trash banging around. We had a nice, big balcony and a great view. The Edgewater Resort is wonderful for kids. It has pools, a playground, and a basketball court. It has a big grassy area that is landscaped beautifully. We also enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrellas. Overall, our stay was wonderful!

Our family had a great time at the condo. It was beautiful and very comfortable. It was so convenient to the outlet mall, grocery store and of course the beach. There were 5 of us and we were very comfortable. Loved the pools. The only thing I was not pleased with is the "professional putting green". It's just a small area off to the side, right next to the parking lot. My husband and son didn't use it at all. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations.

This property was really great. We shared this unit with another couple and there was plenty of room. The balcony was the best! There were sliding glass doors in the living room and the master bedroom. There were two outside tables, plenty of chairs and the view of the beach was great. The walk to get to the pools and beach were very short and easily accessible. Although they do need to add signs that point you in the right direction. It took us plenty of trial and error to figure out exactly how to get to the beach. The only improvements the unit needed would be better/working televisions in the bedrooms and ceiling fans. Other than that it was perfect.
